You'll meet famous authors when you join the library's book discussion
You'll meet famous authors - Elizabeth Strout, Rebecca Skloot and Suzanne Joinson, for example, when you join the Bluflfton Public Library's monthly adult book discussions.
Discussions are held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the s econd floor board room each first Wednesday of the month.
Books discussed so far this year included "The Language of Flowers," by Vanessa Diffenbaugh, "A Secret Gift," by Ted Gup, "Unaccustomed Earth," by Jhumpa Lahiri, "My Name is Mary Sutter," by Robin Oliveira, "State of Wonder," by Ann Patchett, and "Extremely Loude and Incredibly Close," by Jonathan Safran Foer.
Future books include:
• "Olive Kitteridge," by Elzabeth Strout, to be discussed Aug. 7,
• "Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," by Rebecca Skloot," on Sept. 4,
• "Half Broke Horses," by Jeannette Walls, on Oct. 2,
• "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," by John Boyne, on Nov. 6, and
• "A Lady Cyclist's Guide to Kashgar," by Suzanne Joinson.
