Sharon Jolliff, 1943-2013, was a Bluffton College graduate
Sharon K. Jolliff, 70, of Arlington, died at 4:02 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
She was born in Lima, Ohio, on July 13, 1943, to the late Richard H. and Helen (Halker) Zeller. On Oct. 17, 1964, she married Jack L. Jolliff, and he survives in Arlington. She is also survived by two children: Christine M. (Greg) Denecker of Bluffton, and Mark A. (Kristie) Jolliff of Arlington.
Sharon is survived, too, by seven grandchildren: Kathryn, Mitchell, Kendra, Kylie, and Max Jolliff, and Gabe and Luke Denecker.
Other surviving family members include four sisters: Carolyn (Elmer) Gable of Leipsic, Marilyn (Jack) McDermitt of Cridersville, Miriam (Dick) Brinkman of Lima, Pam (Charles) Risner of Alger; a brother, Dennis R. (Kay) Zeller of Ottawa, and her mother-in-law, Ruby (Bill) Jolliff Gehrisch of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Margaret) Zeller of Harrod and her sister, Pat (Larry) Morman of Ottawa. A graduate of Bluffton College, Sharon was a kindergarten aid and then teacher at Arlington Schools for over 20 years.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay, where served on the church board and as a Eucharistic minister. She recently became a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 160 N. Spring St., Bluffton, with Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Van Buren, Township. Memorial contributions can be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation or Arlington Elementary School Library. Condolences can be sent via www.coldrencrates.com.
