Cartridge World collecting back to school supplies
Cartridge World is collecting school supplies Aug. 12-17 at both of their Lima locations.
Supplies will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Allen County for their 3rd annual Back2School Kickoff on Aug. 17.
Cartridge World will accept new school supplies at both Lima locations: 1094 N. Cable Rd. and 2100 Harding Highway.
According to Dave Fett, owner of Cartridge World Lima, “We enjoy being involved in our local schools, and this is one way we can partner with the community to give back.”
Fett noted that Cartridge World currently participates with several local schools in their cartridge recycling fundraisers and added that “teachers also receive 10% off their purchases every day with school I.D.”
According to the Boys & Girls Club, one out of five young people lives in poverty. Allen County residents can assist these young people in their own community who cannot afford school supplies.
By doing so, they are helping to achieve the Boys & Girls Club mission: “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
The public is invited to attend the Boys & Girls Club Back2School Kickoff on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 3 – 5 p.m. at B&D Professional Auto Detailing, 1457 N. Cole St. in Lima.
For more information on the event, contact the Boys & Girls Club of Allen County at (419) 516-9879.
