2013 Hardin County Fair is closer than you think
Hardin County Fair week is just around the corner. This year’s fair opens on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 8. Ada schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 3, for "fair day."

Gates open daily at 7:30 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Open class and junior fair exhibits must be in place by 9 p.m., Sept. 2. The fair officially opens at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 3.
Here are some of this year’s fair highlights:
Sept. 3 – Band show, 7 p.m.
Sept. 4 – Swing choir show and society singers
Sept. 5 – Harness racing
Sept. 6 – Abar Rodeo
Sept. 7 – Demolition derby
Sept. 8 – Hour of inspiration
Sept. 8 – Tractor pull
Sept. 8 – OSTPA tractor pull
Daily gate admission is $7 for anyone age 9 and up. Season ticket price is $20, which admits one adult and family’s children of school age and under all week.
Veterans’ day (veterans get free admission) is Sept. 3 and senior citizens’ day (everyone over 60 gets free admission) is Sept. 6.
Amusement ride individual tickets are available. An all-day wristband is $12.
