Golden Dragon Acrobats to open Artist Series Sept. 19
Tickets are still available for the opening performance in the 2013-14 Bluffton University Artist Series, by The Golden Dragon Acrobats at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in Founders Hall.
The Chinese troupe represents the best of a time-honored tradition that began more than 25 centuries ago. Impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang combine award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, colorful costumes, ancient and contemporary music and theatrical techniques. The members of the current touring company, from Hebei, China, have performed in nearly every major market in the country.
Reserved seats are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and non-Bluffton students and $10 for children ages 6-13. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased on the Web, at http://tickets.bluffton.edu, or by calling 419-358-3350 or emailing [email protected]. In addition, general-admission tickets for bleacher seats will be available at the door for $5 regardless of age (6 and up).
Season tickets for the five performances in the Artist Series are also available, at $80 for adults and $70 for senior citizens and non-Bluffton students. A family pass is $55 with the purchase of any season ticket and admits all children in the family ages 6-18.
