Gluten-free and food allergy support group forming
A gluten-free and food allergy support group has formed in Bluffton. It has three programs, open to the public, scheduled this fall at the Bluffton Public Library.
All programs are from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Richland Room (lower level) of the public library. The programs are hosted by Daisy Sutkay, Seasonal Sun Foods, Bluffton.
Program information follows:
• Monday, Oct. 21 – “Living with food allergies.” The speaker is Linda Houshower of The Food Store, Bluffton.
• Monday, Nov. 18 – “Living with dairy allergies.” Mary Claire Petro is the speaker.
• Monday, Dec. 16 – “Living without gluten.” Speaker to be announced.
All programs are free and open to the public. The meetings will allow participants to share recipes, taste food samples, learn from the experience of others, gain information and create a support group.
