Dorothy Herrmann worked at Triplett Corp. for 43 years
Dorothy E. Herrmann, 86, died Nov. 1, 2013, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born June 11, 1927, in Columbus Grove to the late John M. and Esther H. (Leichty) Dunbar. On June 15, 1946, she married John R. Herrmann and he preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1991.
Mrs. Herrmann retired from Triplett Corp., Bluffton after 43 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bluffton where she had served on parish council. She enjoyed bowling and had played on the Triplett Corp. softball team. She was a 1945 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Survivors include a son Joe (Tricia) Herrmann of Bluffton; two daughters Kathleen Herrmann of Lewis Center, Jane (Howard) Dillman of Pinckney, Mich.; six grandchildren Douglas (Kayla) Herrmann, Nathaniel (Jessica) Herrmann; Kylene (Dustin) Maroon, Kedryn Marquart, Brandon Dillman, Angela Dillman; two great grandchildren Allison and Jonathan Herrmann; and a sister Alice Grant of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Donavin Dunbar, John Dunbar Jr.; and a sister Mary Hoffer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Father Norbert Howe officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
A prayer service will take place Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
