43rd annual student university art exhibition set
The Bluffton University art department will present its 43rd annual Juried Student Exhibition from April 18-May 8 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery in Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will showcase work created by students in university art classes or supervised independent studies. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Boehr Award for Best of Show, which carries a $100 cash prize, will be presented, as will four Awards of Distinction-each worth $50-and Senior Merit Awards, which are awarded, along with $25, to seniors who did not place in any other cash-award categories. First, second and third places will be designated in each category, as well as honorable mention recipients.
Students may enter up to three works in each of the following categories: ceramics, two- and three-dimensional design, drawing, computer generated, watercolor and painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Works included in the show are selected by a guest juror, who also chooses award winners.
