Bluffton Family Practice opens new office on Harmon Road
Bluffton Family Practice officially opened its new medical office at 582 Harmon Road, near Bluffton Hospital, announced Dr. Darrel R. Hotmire, D.O.
“We have more space and more rooms, which will provide our practice with more efficiency serving our patients,” said Dr. Hotmire. “We are also accepting new patients.”
The new office includes five exam rooms and one additional room, plus expanded office space. Dr. Hotmire added that an important reason for the expansion is that the practice is hoping to add additional staff - either a physician or physician’s assistant.
“We are interviewing potential persons right now,” he said. “We hope to have someone join our staff in 2014.”
The new office enables Bluffton Family Practice to offer basic labs, including blood work, cholesterol and sugar. “We will no longer need to send our patients to the hospital for these tests,” he said.
Stressing that Bluffton Family Practice focuses on “point of care” patient coverage, Dr. Hotmire said as a family practice, he sees a variety of patients from birth to the elderly.
Talking about his medical approach, Dr. Hotmire said that his motivation is helping his patients medically, physically and spiritually.
“My staff works together to try to keep these areas the focus of our mission with patients,” he added.
Dr. Hotmire has medical privileges at Bluffton Hospital and Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. A grand opening for the office is in the planning stage.
Member of the Bluffton Family Practice staff include Heidi Hotmire, office manager, Bia Evans, R.N., Betty Basinger, R.N., Michelle Zuehlke, staff nurse, Juanita Hotmire, billing, and Jeni Snyder and Elaine Marquart, receptionists.
