Doreen Metheney was a 1983 Bluffton High School graduate
Doreen Dae Metheney, 48 of Houston, Texas, and formerly of Bluffton died Jan. 4, 2014. She was born Aug. 28, 1965 in Bluffton to the late Gordon and Doris (Rowley) Metheney, Sr.
She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1983. She lived and worked in Findlay until the early 1990s and moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where she lived and worked until her illness took her to St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Survivors include a sister Agnes (Cliff) Davis of Bluffton; two brothers Gordon and Sam Metheney; nephews Aaron (Jenni Leiber) and Abram Davis of Bluffton, Luke Metheney; nieces Valta (Chris) Brown of Lima, Alana Metheney; a great nephew Elijah Brown; and great nieces Madison Davis, Chloe Brown and Pyper Brown.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Isaac James Davis.
A visitation will be held Sunday Feb. 2, 2014 from 2-4 pm at the Mennonite Memorial Home Chapel, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
