Focusing on the hours of 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., perhaps the warmest part of the day, Bluffton holds its first-ever "cash mob." Although it's not a cash mob in the traditional big city sense, it will offers an interesting assortment of specials in several downtown businesses. It is the chamber's plan to offer one cash mob per month in 2014.
The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., is Wednesday's host cash mob business. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., the downtown meat market and deli will offer 10 percent of all cheese products.
In addition, everyone who shops at The Dough Hook can enter to win a $25 Dough Hook shopping spree, sponsored by the chamber.
Here is a listing of other businesses providing special offers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday (check this list again soon - the list continues to grow). A flyer will be available in The Dough Hook with a complete list of cash mob participating businesses.
• Greg’s Pharmacy will have our regular size candy bars for ½ price (excludes Russell Stover bars), from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
• Bluffton News will have a 10% discount off the regular price of a one-year newspaper subscription ($65), making the cash mob hours cost $58.50. This offer can not be combined with any other offer.
• The Curling Iron will offer the Joico Revitaluxe Restorative Treatment for a Cash Mob price of $12 plus tax. It is regularly priced at $24 plus tax. And for the first 10 people to purchase this product at this price, they will also receive a Joico Restorative Oil for free.
