Rev. Lyle Francis Steiner was born in Lima
Rev. Lyle Francis Steiner, 91, a resident of Royal Oak, Mich., since 1969, died Feb. 14, 2014 at McLaren Macomb Medical Center in Mount Clemens, Mich.
Rev. Steiner resided at Medilodge Nursing Home of Richmond, Mich., since 2010. He was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Lima. He was a graduate of Ft. Wayne Bible College. Rev. Steiner was a pastor at missionary churches in Decatur, Ind., Midland, Mich., Cleveland, Augusta, Mich., and Lima.
He worked for 19 years at the Ford Motor Company Utica Trim Plant and also volunteered as a chaplain with Ford Motor Co. He was also a member of the Royal Oak Missionary Church.
His was waf the late Thelma I. (Blough).They were married July 29, 1945, in Woodburn, Ind. He was the father of Steve (Donna) Steiner and grandfather of Evan Steiner.
He is survived by two brothers, Gerald and Dwight Steiner. He is preceded in death by his parents J.E. and Priscilla Steiner; brothers, Wayne and Earl Steiner; sisters, Esther Thompson, Mabel Ehresman and Mirian Welty.
Services were held in Michigan. Burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Riley Township, Pandora. Arrangements by Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, Royal Oak, 248-541-7000, www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com.
