Trinity Lutheran, Jenera, announces Holy Week servies
Trinity Lutheran Church invites the public to attend the following services at 301 North Main Street, Jenera.
Palm Sunday services on April 13 will be at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school and Bible class for all ages beginning at 9:20 a.m. Pastor Jeff Bolwerk will preach on the theme “Our Humble King Comes to Save.” The students of Trinity Lutheran School and the adult choir will sing “Hosanna!”
The Maundy Thursday service begins at 7 p.m. on April 17. Pastor Al Schmitzer will deliver the message and the adult choir will sing “Do Not Let Your Hearts be Troubled,” “No Greater Love,” and “The Upper Room.”
Pastor Bolwerk will lead the Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on April 18. The theme is "A garden of death." It will be a Service of the Cross of Christ with special responsive singing between the pastor, choir and congregation.
The April 20 Easter Sunrise Service is planned for 6:30 a.m. and an Easter Celebration service begins at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Schmitzer will preach. Special music will be by the choir singing “Easter Song.” After the service, breakfast will be served until 9 a.m. at the school.
