Richard and Marylin Basinger celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Richard and Marylin Basinger will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2014. They were married on July 5, 1964, at the First Mennonite Church in Bluffton, Ohio by the Rev. Jacob T. Friesen.
Parents of the couple are the late Amber and Edna Basinger and the late Donald Dillman. Marylin's mother, Treva Dillman Suter resides in Bluffton at the Mennonite Memorial Home.
Richard retired from the Allen East School District after thirty years as an industrial arts and mechanical drawing teacher. Marylin retired as the manager of the Bluffton Elementary School cafeteria. She currently works part time at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.
The Basingers have two children, Barbara (Kevin) Koziara of Orlando, Florida and David (Kelley) Basinger of Atlanta, Georgia. Grandchildren are Michael Koziara and Will and Kate Basinger. Step-grandchildren include Brittany and Zach Koziara and one step great-grandchild, Kylie Koziara.
A family celebration will take place in Atlanta. Richard and Marylin's family would also like them to be honored with a card shower for their golden wedding anniverary. Greetings may be sent to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Basinger, 536 S. Main Street, Bluffton, Ohio 45817
