We caught up with Shane Geisheimer, who's putting on a prom!
The Icon heard from former Bluffton resident, Shane Geisheimer recently. He is the Communications Coordinator of Hope United Methodist Church in the Cleveland area.
Shane's helping to put on a prom with a different twist. Here it is in his words:
The Heart of Rock and Roll is an event that will feature a Prom for folks with Intellectual, Physical and Developmental Disabilities, ages 16 and older. Our event this year will be on August 15th at Garfield Memorial Church in Pepper Pike.
This event is a joint outreach of Garfield Memorial Church, Hope United Methodist Church in Bedford and the Young Adult organization All Communities Together (ACT).

We are working with several other groups in northeastern Ohio that are advocates for Special Needs including Key Ministry, Welcome House and Michael Carter Group.
We have brought together several Sponsors as well to make this free for our guests including Chic-Fil-A, Best Buy, 95.5 The Fish, Fireflies Mini-Golf, Master Pizza and others.
