Wanda Brown of Ada had worked at Triplett
Wanda J. Brown, 82, died on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at 5:47 a.m. at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1931, in Hancock County, Ohio to Charles R. and Frances (Marquart) Gossman and they preceded her in death. She was formerly married to Russell Brown from 1950 to 1975 and he survives in Ada.
Wanda previously worked for Triplett in Bluffton for 10 years and then Monsanto Plastics in Lima for 10 years. She retired in 1999 from Ohio Northern University, Ada, after working for 10 years in the Domestic Engineer Department. She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church of Ada. Wanda was a member of the Ada Senior Citizens and the Bluffton Senior Citizens.
Also surviving are two sons: Russell A. (Donna) Brown of Raymond and Dan Lee (Chris) Brown of Ada; a daughter, Cathy Sue Harris of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, James R. Brown and a brother, Robert Gossman.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 20 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church of Ada and/or Community Health Professionals – Hospice of Ada.
