Agency on Aging holds "balance" classes at Senior Center; Betty Steiner honored at Sept. 3 dinner meeting
It’s a matter of balance. The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., will hold classes on balance led by the Area Agency on Aging.
According to Tonya Meyer, director, classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 9, and take place from 1 to 3 p.m. The classes continue for eight weeks.
Registration is required and may be taken care of by calling the center at 419-358-8971. The course is free but space is limited.
In other Center news, the September dinner meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 3.
Betty Steiner celebrates her 90th birthday in September. She will receive a life membership to the Association during the dinner.
Senior bowling at Southgate Lanes starts at 9 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4.
Community meals in September are Thursday, Sept. 4, hosted by Emmanuel United Church of Christ, and Thursday, Sept. 18, hosted by Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Meals are free and begin at 6 p.m. All monetary donations go to the Bluffton Food Pantry.
