Fall classes for retires range from traveling the world, current events, to needle felting
Bluffton University’s Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), an educational program for retirees, is offering 10 courses on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 22-Nov. 13.
Cost to take three or more courses is $100. Individuals may take one or two courses for $50 each. Registration and, if applicable, course fees are due at the time of registration; Sept. 18 is the deadline to register. Unless otherwise noted, classes will meet in the ILR classroom, located in Shultz Hall of Riley Court on campus.

Traveling the World through Documentaries and Foreign Films
Wednesdays, Sept. 24-Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to noon
Needlefelting
Wednesdays, Sept. 24-Oct. 15, 1:30-3 p.m., The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center classroom
Needlefelting is a needlework technique in which fibers are entwined without the need to sew. Class size is limited to 12; basic tools and supplies are included in the $20 course fee.
Reminiscence Roundtable
Wednesdays, Sept. 24-Nov. 12, 1:30-3 p.m.
The Monuments Men and Women: Their Story
Thursdays, Sept. 25-Nov. 13, 9-10:30 a.m.
The story, as also told in the movie “The Monuments Men,” of museum curators, professors and art restorers who left their careers during World War II to join the service as rescuers of art looted by the Nazis
How They Do It: Patterns in Sexual Life Cycles of Lower Animals

Colloquium
Thursdays, Sept. 25-Nov. 13, 1:30-3 p.m.
Among the topics will be grant writing; Habitat for Humanity; antiques; discovering lost and forgotten gravestones, and their hidden stories; and a 144-mile walk on the Portuguese portion of the Camino de Santiago.
