Free weekend for Armed Forces personnel at Twin Lakes
Twin Lakes Park invites all Armed Forces personnel, current and past, and their immediate families to a free weekend of camping, relaxation and fun with other military families on the weekend of May 14 - 16.
Campers are invited to camp, swim, fish, and play volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and other games.
Friday evening will be a special bingo game followed by the movie "Patton." Saturday afternoon displays of memorabilia in the shelter house will have the background of Time-Life's history of the Vietnam war.
Saturday evening will feature a meat raffle, door prizes, and games. Participants are requested to "show their colors" (flags, uniforms, ...) and are invited to contribute photos, shadow box metal displays, souvenirs, etc. for the memorabilia display.
Campers may check in after 1 p.m. Friday and must call Elaine Harris for reservations at 419-358-2649.
Twin Lakes Park is located at 3506 Twp. Rd. 34 in Bluffton (Interstate 75 at the SR 235 / Ada / Mt. Cory Exit 145).
