Knock, knock...whoooooooo's there? Trick-or-treat night is Thursday
Whether you are a mad scientist (see the photo with this story), simply a scientist, just plain mad, or some other kind of Halloweener, Thursday night is trick-or-treat night in Bluffton. Hours are 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In addition to Bluffton residences, here are some doorbells you’ll want to ring:
• Bluffton Icon will take your photo at the library - in cooperation with the Bluffton University Photojournalism 299 class members, the Icon will take photos of all Halloweeners for a Halloween photo exhibit posted on The Icon.
• Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St. – trick-or-treating takes place throughout the residential halls. Residents have candy for visitors.
• Maple Crest, off Augsburger Road – trick-or-treating in the front lobby and family room.
• Willow Ridge Greenhouses (both Freda House and Betty House) across the road from Maple Crest – trick-or-treating at both houses.
• Bluffton Public Library, corner of Main and College – offering a variety of treats including gluten-free snacks and other alternatives to candy. The library is also a great rest stop for tired feet. Families may feel free to read a spooky story together.
• Bluffton Fire Department will have a truck in front of the library where members will hand out treats.
• Cancelled – “trunk or treat” at previously announced to take place on the Bluffton University campus.
