Your supper plans for Thursday are already set. The soup is on.

Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Bluffton, hosts a soup cook-off on Thursday, Feb. 19, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited.

The event is in the Patio room in the lower level of the Maple Crest main building. there everyone can sample gourmet soups prepared by various local restaurants and caterers.

Enjoy such soups as:
• Luke's Bar & Grill (Bluffton) – Tomato Basil Soup
• Bluffton Hospital (Bluffton) – Cheeseburger Soup
• Touches from the Heart (Ottawa) – Chicken Noodle Tomato
• Henry’s (Ottawa) – Baked Potato Soup
• Apollo Career Center (Lima) – Cream Cheese Chicken Chili
• W.g. Grinders (Lima) – Italian Wedding Soup
• Common Grounds (Bluffton) – TBA
• Tu Pueblo (Bluffton) – Hispanic Chicken Soup

The meal includes soup/s, salad, breadsticks, beverage and dessert. The cost is $7 per person or $5 with a donation of a canned good or box of cold cereal. Children 5 and under will be $3. All donated items will be given to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program.  Please check expiration dates to make sure they are current.
