March 9  Art exhibit: Opening of senior exhibition by Jill Bornhorst of Fort Loramie; Isaac Schumacher of Bluffton; Gregory Seymour of Orrville; and Luz Varela of Goshen, Ind., Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Visual Arts Center. Hours through March 20 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15. A reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. March 15.

March 10  Forum: “Advocacy and Service: They Both Go Well Together,” Smucker Lecture by Gayle Channing Tenenbaum, director of policy and governmental affairs, Public Children Services Association of Ohio, 11 a.m., Founders Hall

March 13 Colloquium: “Ongoing ‘American Apartheid’: St. Louis County 1990-2010,” by Dr. Walter Paquin, assistant professor of social work, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall

March 15  Music: Camerata Home Concert, 2:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall, with Camerata Singers, following the choir’s return from a spring-break tour

March 17 Spiritual Life Week Forum: “Sabbath—The Still and Isolated Road to Active Unity in Christ,” by Justin McRoberts, pastor of Shelter Covenant Church, Concord, Calif., 11 a.m., Founders Hall

March 23  Art exhibit: Opening of senior exhibition by Kerry Bush of Bluffton; Julie Foster of Lima; Amanda Hunsberger of Shipshewana, Ind.; and Courtney Partee of Napoleon, Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Visual Arts Center. Hours through April 4 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. weekends. A reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

March 24  Civic Engagement Forum: “Living and Learning in the Contact Zone,” by Kathryn Spike, assistant professor of English, 11 a.m., Founders Hall

March 25 Civic Engagement Day: Activities will be held campuswide throughout the day, centering around Bluffton’s 2014-15 civic engagement theme, “Education Matters! Learning for Life, Vocation and Responsible Citizenship.”

March 27 Colloquium: “Exploring Retooling Ideas, 20th-Century Literature and Apophatic Theology,” by Dr. Lamar Nisly, associate dean of academic affairs and professor of English, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall

March 29 Music: Spring Instrumental Concert, 2:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall

March 31 Women’s Studies Forum: “Men, Women, and the Stories We Tell About ‘Us,’” by Dr. Cheri Larson Hoeckley, professor of English and coordinator of gender studies, Westmont College, Santa Barbara, Calif., 11 a.m., Founders Hall
