Bowl for Hope event April 4 at Southgate Lanes
Bluffton For Hope - formerly known as Bluffton Relay for Life, will hold a "bowl for hope" event at Southgate Lanes, Bluffton, on Saturday, April 4, according to Lynda Best.
The first shift bowls at 1 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m. The first 50 paid entries for each shift may participate. A $20 registration per bowler is required and checks are made to: Southgate Lanes.
According to Best, here's how the event works:
Every bowler will bowl three games. Prizes will be represented in different containers. As the players bowl, colored pins will show up in the racks. If a bowler gets a strike when a combination arises, they will receive tickets to place into the containers. After the second shift is completed, all of the prizes will be drawn for.
There will be a certain amount of prizes dedicated to each shift that will be drawn during that shift only. There will be 50/50 raffles, beer towers and other prizes available throughout the day.
There will also be luminaries for sale if anyone would like to make a dedication to a friend or family member. Every penny raised will go directly to the American Cancer Society.
