Town Hall Concert Series 5th anniversary features Joseph Helfrich
The Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series celebrates their five year anniversary with a concert by Joseph Helfrich on Thursday, April 23, from 7-9 p.m. Helfrich is a folk singer, multi-instrumentalist, and storyteller who has been performing in public for over 25 years. He has been a full-time musician since 1992, and specializes in vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin, recorders and the mountain dulcimer. His programs include a wide variety of musical styles as well as humor. Joseph has a large repertoire for children and adults and tailors the program to fit the occasion. He received a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Bluffton University.
The Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series has hosted 40 concerts in five years. Musical styles have included Celtic, Ethnic, Gospel, Indie, Jazz, Dance, and Classical. The majority of concerts are traditional/Americana roots music or modern singer-songwriters. The Town Hall series schedule is available on their facebook page and website at www.townhallconcerts.typepad.com.
Concerts are held on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, 100 E. Elm Street. The venue is handicap accessible, and the performers are paid by donations at the door.
