Richard Sheneyfelt was retired from Phillips, Ottawa
Richard A. "Dick" Shaneyfelt, 79, of Pandora died May 28, 2015, at 12:49 a.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born July 19, 1935, in New Carlisle to Richard V. and Zelma Gheen Shaneyfelt. On March 23, 1957, he married Carol Jean Brokschmidt and she survives.
He retired from Phillips ECG, Ottawa. He was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, and was active with Gideons International, Bill Glass Prison Ministries, and Beaverdam Transport for Christ. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors also include two children, Pam (Greg) Grismore of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Doug (Rachel) Shaneyfelt of Pandora, five granddaughters, Shannon (Michael) Renfrow, Heather (Tom) Neville, Laura (Brent) Robinson, Sophia Shaneyfelt, Olivia Shaneyfelt, six great grandchildren, Madeline and Timothy Renfrow, Findlay and Lane Neville, Sadie and Boone Robinson, a brother Gerald Shaneyfelt of Bluffton and a sister Donna Hardy of Mesa, Ariz.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora and friends may call one hour prior. Rev. Lynn Thompson and Dr. Tom Neville will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora with military rites by the Navy. Memorial Contributions may be made to Rally Point Youth Center or St. John Mennonite Church.
