Bigfoot sighting in Bluffton - Thursday at Public Library
Bluffton Public Library will host a presentation by SOSBI (Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation) at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27.
This event will include a presentation by the group’s founder, Doug Waller, and there will also be time for the audience to report their own Bigfoot sightings and to ask questions about Waller’s travels, Bigfoot hunting, and the process of writing his books.
The following is a message from SOSBI:
With the television show “Finding Bigfoot” bringing new awareness of the Bigfoot phenomenon, more and more people are questioning—Is Bigfoot real?
Our group was founded in 2008 and we have since dedicated ourselves to investigating various sightings around the state of Ohio. We’ve compiled an impressive array of evidence and witness statements over the years, and the founder of our group, Doug Waller, has published a book called Standing in the Shadows: Bigfoot Stories from Southeastern Ohio, and is currently working on his second book, Hidden Encounters, set to be published later this year.
Over the last year and a half, SOSBI has also become very involved in the education of the general public on these mysterious beings through Bigfoot conferences, Boy Scout events, library presentations and more.
We’ve traveled extensively, not only though Ohio, but also to New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia to attend Bigfoot events and deliver our presentations.
This program and the refreshments provided are brought to you by Bluffton Public Library with generous assistance from the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library.
