ILR offers trail biking course
Bluffton University’s Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) is offering a trail biking class this fall for both interested retirees and the semi-retired.
Local bicyclists Paul and Mary Fleck will lead the class, whose first meeting and ride will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Sommer Center parking lot on campus. Cost is $50.
Rides for fun and fitness will begin in Bluffton, then move on to other nearby destinations, including the Lima and Slippery Elm—in Wood County—bicycle trails. Other possible sites include the Miami Valley or Cuyahoga Valley trails. Transportation for trails outside Bluffton will be provided on a bike trailer, and pickups have been arranged in case of bike trouble or rider fatigue.
To register or for more information, contact JP Schumacher, ILR director, at 419-358-3346 or [email protected]
