BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team saw its offensive woes continue as the Beavers dropped a 3-0 decision to Hanover on a cold and rainy Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. Bluffton remains winless at 0-9 overall and 0-1 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 5-6 and 1-0 in the HCAC.
Bluffton kept pace with the visitors for the first 30 minutes until Dominic Isidore found the back of the net for his second score of the season at the 33:35 mark. Another scoreless lull came to a screeching halt when Isadore converted in minute 72 and Thomas Doering followed less than three minutes later with his first goal of the season for a 3-0 advantage.
John Eckenrode (Northwood/Millbury Lake) paced the Beavers with three shots, two on frame, while fellow senior Michael Ralph (Mansfield/Christian) pitched in with Bluffton's other attempt. Matt Hardman-Zimmerman (Forest City, Penn.) turned away six Panther shots in the 3-0 setback.
Bluffton jumps back into action on Wednesday, Oct. 7, when the Beavers welcome Anderson University to the Sears Complex. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. Come out and support your Beavers!
