Mustard Seed Cafe announces new owners - will reopen soon
Dick and Jayne McGarrity announced today (Oct. 7) the sale of the Mustard Seed Café to Executive Chef Rhonda Moor.
“With changes taking place in our lives, we would like to retire again and mean it this time,” the McGarritys told The Icon.
Moor and her partner, Drew Van Horn, have been with the café from the start in March of 2013. Moor has created menus and dishes that have attracted guests from across the nation. The café has been featured in several publications and on television.
According to Dick McGarrity, “Through her vision a unique menu has evolved featuring handcrafted food from only the freshest components. This commitment to original, quality food will continue. Rhonda is the mother of four sons, Samuel, Jack Henry, Tucker and Will and all the boys bring their talents to the café.”
He added that as ownership of the café changes, licenses and other business matters need to be taken care of and this will necessitate the temporary closing of the café.
Moor has promises “wonderful changes,” upon its reopening.
“On reopening, the café will have the most exciting menu yet, new cocktails, wine and beer, extended hours and renewed commitment to creating a dining experience, not just a meal,” she said.
A reopening schedule will be announced soon.
Dick and Jayne said, “We wish to express appreciation to all those who have supported the Mustard Seed, and we wish Rhonda and Drew all the best in their new adventure.”
