Recker named Heartland Player of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton senior Thayne Recker (Arlington) helped the Beavers go 2-1 to open the season and he has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week. He picked up where he left off last season when Recker was a three-time HCAC Player of the Week en route to being named First Team All-Heartland Conference.
Recker averaged 20.7 PPG and 7.0 RPG while hitting 24-of-32 shots from the field (75.0 percent). He
also added two assists, three blocks and five steals for the Beavers. Recker was named to the Coles Classic All-Tournament team at Buffalo Stats after netting 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting in the 87-65 consolation game win over Villa Maria in only 20 minutes of action.
Bluffton (2-1, 0-0 HCAC) will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Kalamazoo following a short break for Thanksgiving. Follow the Bluffton-Kalamazoo Live Stats next Wednesday.
