English professor to discuss newest book
Jeff Gundy, a professor of English at Bluffton University, will present a program Thursday, Dec. 3, on his newly published book of poems, “Abandoned Homeland.”
Beginning with refreshments at 3:45 p.m., the event is free and open to the public in Bluffton’s Musselman Library Reading Room. Afterward, Gundy will sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase.
“Abandoned Homeland” is the Bluffton professor’s seventh book of poetry. The Ohio Poetry Day Association named him 2014 Ohio Poet of the Year for his collection, “Somewhere Near Defiance.” Also the author of four books of prose, he returned to campus this fall after a spring 2015 sabbatical spent teaching and writing at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
