BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University’s Macey Sheerer (Bucyrus) helped the Beavers move to 4-0 following wins over Heidelberg and Kalamazoo and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The sophomore standout scored 25 points with 10 rebounds in an 85-79 win over Heidelberg on Tuesday and added 12 points with seven rebounds and two assists in a 74-58 win at Kalamazoo. For the week, Sheerer averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 63.6 percent (14-for-22) from the field. 

Bluffton (4-0, 0-0 HCAC) will welcome defending HCAC-champion Transylvania for an early-season showdown between the top two teams in the pre-season coaches' poll. Tip-off is slated for 2 PM in the Sommer Center on Saturday, Dec. 5. Click on Live Stats to follow the contest Saturday afternoon!
