Marvin Diller, Pandora, was past chairman of Hilty Memorial Home
Marvin Leroy Diller of Pandora, 76, died Dec. 7, 2015, at his residence in Pandora. Marvin was born June 19, 1939 in Pandora to Elmer and Dema (Ford) Diller who preceded him in death. On June 20, 1959, he married Lucy Goedde Diller who survives.
Marvin retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant after 39 years. He was an active member of Pandora Missionary Church where he had served as a deacon. Marvin had been chairman of the board of the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was also a past member of the Lima Rescue Mission Board, Missionary Church Board Inc., World Partners Board of the Missionary Church, District Executive Board. He actively supported Heartbeat of Lima.
He enjoyed serving on work trips to mission fields in Haiti, Hawaii, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Ecuador and Jamaica. Marvin served as a mentor to many missionaries entering their mission work.
Survivors also include a son, Terry Lynn (Kim) Diller of Elkhart, Ind.,; two daughters, Jane Rienette (John) Gladwell of Columbus Grove, Cathy Anne (Richard) Schrock of Ft. Wayne, Ind.,; grandchildren, Sean, Nicholas, Jessica, Amelia, Thomas, Aaron, Matthew and Alisa; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Kaleb a sister, Zuma (Ron) Bouchard of Concho, Ariz.,; and a brother, Raymon (Elaine) Diller of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
Marvin was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Diller and a sister Louise Roussos.
Services will be held Saturday Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. at Pandora Missionary Church. Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Friends may call Thursday from 6 pm - 8 pm, Friday from 2 p.m - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Pandora Missionary Church and one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission, Heartbeat of Lima, Kidney Services of West Central Ohio or Pandora Missionary Church.
