Joanne Golden, 77, of Bluffton, died at 8:40 p.m., June 28, 2010, at Springview Manor, Lima. She was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, to Lyman and Donna Turner Barns. On Oct. 28, 1980, she married Samuel Golden and he died Sept. 6, 2009.

Mrs. Golden was a homemaker and worked at Richland Manor, Bluffton, for 30 years. She was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ and Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School.

Survivors include a son, Kevin Theis, Harrod; a daughter, Patricia Lawrence, Bluffton; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three step-daughters, Patricia Thomas, Rebecca Bruns and Frances Bruns all of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sondra Prine.

Her funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., July 2, at the Beaverdam Church of Christ. Rev. Same Wireman will officiate. Visitation is Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Contributions may go to St. Rita's Medical Center Hospice.
