Grace Albrecht Gallery to host ‘BioGeo, Rhythms in Form’ Feb. 2-19
Adrienne Leban’s exhibit titled “BioGeo, Rhythms in Form” will open on Feb. 2 and continue through Feb. 19. The exhibit will be on display in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The public is invited free of charge. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Leban’s work focuses on geometric forms and patterns of energy, geometric surrealism and geometric cartoons. She draws the forms freehand, with no instruments or sketches. She says, “I can’t see them until I give them geometric form through which their rhythm becomes visceral and visible.”
Leban is from New York City and is the principal of The Lifework Studio, Inc. where she has been dedicated to creativity and social advocacy projects. The company’s books “Create with Me” and “Draw with Me” have been in bookstores in major museums and have also been used in both the U.S. and Japan for design courses.
