Multiple vehicles in village were impacted during the night
Several vehicles, apparently on the west side of the village, were vandalizes on Monday evening, according to Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief.
He told the Icon: "Bluffton police discovered a vehicle sitting in the roadway on Riley Street in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb 2. Upon contact with the owner, it was learned that the vehicle had been entered and ransacked.
"A short time later, multiple calls were received reporting similar circumstances. Several cars, mostly unlocked, were entered and loose change or money was taken. There were other reports of tires being slashed with an unidentified sharp object."
Police encourage all Bluffton residents to make certain their vehicles are locked with belongings secured.
Anyone with damage or theft is encouraged to contact police as they seek information about possible suspects. Anyone with information is encourage to call the police at 419-358-2961.
