Look at what's on BFR's calendar right now
Bluffton Family Recreation announces several end of winter and beginning of spring sign-ups, according to Joseph Beagle, director. In addition, Keeping Active offers several free opportunities this week. Here’s the latest from BFR:

Also this winter:
Tai Chi classes
BFR continues its classes in Tai Chi each week. Classes are at 9 a.m. on Thursdays and have an open enrollment. Classes offer ways for participants to reduce stress, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions.
Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. It helps participants with relaxation, meditation, stress-relief and inner peace. $4 for members and $5 for non-members, per class.
4th grade basketball tourneys
A fourth grade girls’ tournament is Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27-28. It will involve 10 teams and three games are guaranteed to each team. Games are at BFR. Cost is $125 per team.
A fourth grade boys’ tournament is Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. It is a double-elimination tournament with a limit of six teams. Games are at BFR. Cost is $125 per team.
Goalie clinic
A five-session soccer goalie clinic starts on Feb. 29.
Instructed by T.J. Routson, sessions are Mondays from Feb. 29 to March 28. The clinic is open to soccer players ages 12 and up. Registration is $50 per person. Contact BFR or go online at www.bfronline.net to register.
NFL flag football
Registration for spring flag football is underway. Games are available for co-ed youth ages 7 to 8 and 9 to 11.
Games are scheduled for Saturdays from March 28 through May 7. The cost is $50 for BFR members and $60 for non-members. Registration deadline is March 14.
Registration is open to players and coaches. Call BFR for details on registering. Each registered player receives a flag and an NLF jersey.
U6 spring soccer
Registration is also underway for spring U6 soccer. Play takes place from April 4 to May 5 at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton. Registration ends on March 30.
