Meet Bluffton's newest business - Bluffton Hearing Center
NOTE: Information for this business no longer current. March 21, 2022
For Jodi Turnwald nothing is more satisfying than watching someone who can hear for the first time.
“It’s so powerful,” she said.
Turnwald is now helping Bluffton area residents hear better. She opened Bluffton’s newest business, Bluffton Hearing Center, in late March at 900 N. Main St., Suite B.
She told The Icon that the Bluffton office is an expansion of the Findlay Hearing Center, 930 Plaza St., Findlay. The center has a Bluffton connection. The late Tim Boehr was its original owner.
The center offers several services, according to Turnwald. These include:
• Customer ear molds
• Hearing exams
• Wax management
• Hearing aid maintenance
• Auditory rehab
Several hearing aid products are available. These include: receiver-in-canal, behind-the-ear, in-the-canal, completely–in-canal, in-the-ear, invisible and amplifiers.
“We offer hearing aid repair and cleaning services on most makes and models,” Turnwald said.
Turnwald has over 15 years experience in the hearing health care field. She is National Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences. She holds certification as an audioprosthologist.
Staffing the Bluffton office, in addition to Turnwald are Dana Rieman and Mandy Vorst.
Initially, Bluffton Hearing Center hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment. Turnwald anticipates those hours to expand.
Turnwald will be introduced to members of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce during its Friday, May 13, meeting.
