Bluffton Sardines enjoy WOAL meet ever - finish 4th of 8 teams
Bluffton Sardine swim team finished fourth of eight teams in this past weekend’s Western Ohio Aquatic League meet held at Bluffton. In the girls’ standings, Bluffton finished sixth overall. In the boys’ standings Bluffton finished fourth overall.
It was Bluffton’s best-ever finish in a WOAL meet, which is dominated by teams from communities larger than Bluffton.
Three Bluffton seniors swam in their final meet. They are Cobie Mikesell, Misha Groman and Sierra Osborne.

One Bluffton team won first place and several finished second and third. Finishing first in the 8 and under 100 medley relay were Kalin Osting, Jackson Bowlus, Ezra Nygaard and Keith Hohenbrink.

The team will hold a season-end banquet at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at the Centre.
