Art gallery season to open with works of nature
“Structural Evidence,” an exhibition of work from Valerie Escobedo and Laura Barnhardt-Corle, will kick off the 2016-17 schedule in Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery, located in the Sauder Visual Arts Center.
Opening Aug. 29, the exhibit is free and open to the public through Sept. 22. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A reception for the artists will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.
The delicate, realistic, charcoal drawings by Escobedo and photo-realistic, watercolor paintings by Barnhardt-Corle provide an intimate look at the structure and form of nature.
