Boys' soccer: Pirates pound AE with 24 shots on goal
The Allen East Mustangs visited Bluffton boys' soccer team on Thursday. The Pirates ran at the Mustangs hard from the outset and did not let up. Pirates: 4; Mustangs: 0
Braden Conrad started the scoring at 16:30 minutes, assisted by Luke Young.
Then Isaac Andreas threaded the ball 30 seconds later after a pass from Matt Daws.
Douglas Nester took an assisting pass from Luke Young at the 39th minute and put it in the net.
Final score of the game was by Eli Bourassa at 66 minutes.
As the steam rose from the sweating heads of the high school boys, shots on goal mounted. Bluffton took 24 shots on goal. Allen East had none.
The busy Mustang keeper, Dalton Clum, had 20 saves; Levi Smith, Bluffton’s gk, had none.
There was no JV game.
