August full of activities at Maple Crest
The August calendar at Maple Crest is full of activities. Some of the highlights follow:
Aug. 15 - The Ed Zickafoose Band will perform at the Mennonite Memorial Home concert on the lawn. The event is for the entire Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio community. Included in the music will be ice cream sundaes. The event is from 7 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 17 - The Bakers' Group will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Orchard Dining Room. The plan is to make a special team for the Men's Group.
Aug. 18 - A garbage can lunch will be served in the dining rooms at noon. John and Carrie Miller of Pandora will prepare this famous hobo-style lunch. It will consist of corn on the cob, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, sausage and ham.
Aug. 19 - Young at H'art will take plat at 1:30 p.m. in the craft room. Janette Reineke will lead the art class.
Aug. 19 - The Men's Group will meet at 3 p.m. in the Patio Room. Dick Evans of Crimson Maple Court will talk about "Hunting dangerous game in Africa."
Aug. 20 - Kevin and Debbie Mohr will talk about their experiences in Madagascar at 2:30 p.m. in the Patio Room. Kevin will share about there 17 years as missionaries with the Lutheran Church there.
Aug. 26 - Resident may visit the Allen County Fair during "seniors day."
Aug. 27 - The guitar duo of Tom Gwilt and Don Hindenach will perform in the Patio Room at 1:30 p.m.
