University’s Spiritual Life Week Nov. 6-12
Todd Wynward, farmer, wilderness educator and Mennonite minister will discuss “Rewilding the Way: Break Free to Follow an Untamed God” during the Spiritual Life Week Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The pastor and author of a new book on creation-centered spirituality advocates for an earth-honoring, society-challenging and despair-erasing Christianity.
The community is also invited to additional Spiritual Life Week events including:
Sunday, Nov. 6: Spiritual Life Week kickoff worship service at 8:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall. During the service, Wynward will introduce the theme for the week “Rewilding Ourselves: Break Free to Follow an Untamed God.”
Monday, Nov. 7: A lecture and discussion featuring Wynward with the theme “Can a Changed Life Really Change the World?” at 6:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Thursday, Nov. 10: Chapel service led by Wynward at 11 a.m. in Yoder Recital Hall.
Friday, Nov. 11: Coffeehouse Live with Jason Ropp, singer/songwriter from Goshen, Ind., at 9 p.m. in Bob’s Place, Marbeck Center.
Saturday, Nov. 12: Spiritual retreat “How is Creation Calling You?” from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bluffton University Nature Preserve. Cost is $25 which includes lunch. To register, email [email protected] or call 419-358-3219.
