Meet Eli Bourassa, BHS November's student of the month

Bluffton senior is active in several school organizations

Eli Bourassa is November's Bluffton High School student of the month.

Eli is a senior at BHS and has a 3.821 grade point average. Eli is a member of the BHS marching, pep and concert bands and is the BHS band secretary. He attends St. John Mennonite Church and is involved in its youth group and worship team.

Eli competes on the BHS track and field team and played on the BHS soccer team, which won the NWC championship both this year and last year. He was awarded several soccer awards this year including the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Academic Excellence Award, the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Academic Excellence Award, First Team All-conference award, and received All-District team honorable mention. As a junior he was awarded the most valuable offensive player and was named second team all-NWC.

During his freshman and sophomore year Eli received the National Latin Exam cum laude award and also received the top student award for physical education his freshman year.

Eli takes post secondary courses at Bluffton University. He would like to attend either Anderson or Taylor and play soccer, but is currently undecided on his field of study.

He is son of Mark and Jackie Bourassa of Bluffton.
