Henry Gerad, M.D., opens Bluffton Cancer Care Office
Longtime Lima-area medical oncologist Dr. Henry Gerad has joined Hematology & Oncology Associates, part of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices. Dr. Gerad will see patients at a new satellite location of The Armes Family Cancer Care Center located within Bluffton Hospital, 139 Garau St.
Dr. Gerad is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Hahneman Medical College and Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as a fellowship with the National Cancer Institute Baltimore Cancer Research Program, part of the National Institutes of Health, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Gerad has been practicing medical oncology for more than 35 years.

The Armes Family Cancer Care Center is named in honor of Roy and Marcia Armes of Findlay.
Roy Armes is the past chairman, chief executive officer and president of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.
Marcia Armes is a member of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation Board, the Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary and has served as a volunteer at EasternWoods Outpatient Center.
The Armes Family Cancer Care Center is part of Blanchard Valley Health System’s ongoing commitment to provide the best cancer care possible by offering many cancer care services in one location, as well as added support services.
