Ride to Remember celebrates 3rd year in 2017
It's approaching its third year, and it is already a Bluffton household name: Ride To Remember.
This year's popular Bluffton bicycle ride takes place on Saturday, July 8, and lots of information about this year's event is on the Ride's website: www.ridetoremember.net.
An initial planning meeting took place in late January and event planners hope to have up to 200 riders participate this year.
The first year (2015) had 100 riders. Last year's ride attracted 150 riders.
Ride to Remember offers three major ride loops and routes from 2 miles all the way to 100 miles. Three rest stops are on the main loop and, depending upon which bike route a rider takes, routes go though Rockport, Pandora, Gilboa, Benton Ridge, Rawson and Mt. Cory.
The bike start is at Bluffton Family Recreation and finish is nearby at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool.
The Ride supports the bike and pedestrian paths consstruction in Bluffton. The Ride sponsor is Bluffton Lions Foundation, in cooperation with Bluffton Family Recreation, CG Pro Bikes, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce and Hancock County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
