Bruce N. Marshall was a 1967 Bluffton HS graduate
Bruce N. Marshall, 68, of Hartford, Connecticut, and formerly of Bluffton died Feb. 1, 2017, while on hospice at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hartford, Connecticut, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Bruce was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Bluffton to Kimmel and Maxine (Cook) Marshall who preceded him in death.
In his youth Bruce was a member of the Boy Scout Troop 256 where he achieved his Eagle Scout. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. Before the onset of his illness, Bruce was a surveyor in Ohio and Connecticut.
Bruce is survived by a son, Ryan Neil Marshall; two sisters, Linda (Eddy) Smith of Endwell, New York, Sue (Dennis) Kamann of Prospect, Kentucky; and a brother, Terry (Pamela) Marshall of Homosassa, Florida.
Bruce was preceded in death by a brother, Larry L. Marshall.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton at a later date.
