Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre open house; free hip hop clinic
Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, 222 N. Main St., Ada, will hold an open house from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14, according to owner Darcey Schneider.
Registration is now open for dance and gymnastic classes. Dance classes offered includes tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern and pointe. Classes are open for ages 2 through adult.
Schneider said, "We are an award-winning and DEA of New York City Certified Dance Centre. Come and meet our certified and trained staff. Refreshments and giveaways will take place throughout the open house."
Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre received a "face lift" this summer. It now offers a remodeled, cozy and accommodating waiting area with a kids' play corner and public restrooms.
"Four Seasons Dance Shop will be available for all of your dance wear and dance shoe needs," said Scheider. "They will take care of sizing, ordering, and shipment to the studio. There's no running around, we take care of it all for you."
Free Hip Hop Clinic Aug. 17
The studio will offer a free Hip Hop clinic for ages 11 to 18 from 6 to 8:15, p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17.
"I you want to be a part of the buzz join Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre for our free dance clinic and see if you have what it takes to be a part or our award- winning traveling dance team," said Schneider.
RIMDC will perform in a Cleveland Cavs prime time pre-game event during the 2010-2011 season. The team will also perform at local high school events, and compete in the 2011 competition season. Space on the team is limited. Dancers are urged to register now.
