This year's Ride to Remember hopes to attract 200 riders
It grows every year.
In 2015, 100 riders participated.
In 2016, it was 150 riders.
This year's goal is 200 riders.
"It" is the third annual Ride to Remember bicycle ride, set for Saturday, July 8, in Bluffton.
Ride to Remember offers three major ride loops and routes from 2 miles all the way to 100 miles. Three rest stops are on the main loop and, depending upon which bike route a rider takes, routes go though Rockport, Pandora, Gilboa, Benton Ridge, Rawson and Mt. Cory.
Like last year, the bike start is at Bluffton Family Recreation and finish is nearby at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool.
The Ride supports the bike and pedestrian paths construction in Bluffton. The Ride sponsor is Bluffton Lions Foundation, in cooperation with Bluffton Family Recreation, CG Pro Bikes, and Hancock County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The planning committee is already working on details for this year's event, and invites volunteers to join. The next chair committee meeting is March 20.
