March and April come in like a testing month
MARCH ELEMENTARY NEWSLETTER

Bluffton elementary is a busy place in March. Here are some of the events underway. Attached is the March elementary newsletter, that provides additional details.
TESTING DAYS: Students in grades 3-5 take Ohio English Language Arts tests on March 30- 31. They take Ohio Math tests on April 20- 21. Fourth grade students take Ohio Social Studies tests on April 27- 28. Fifth grade students take Ohio Science tests on April 27- 28.
SPRING PICTURE DAY: On Tuesday, March 14, elementary students will get their spring pictures taken. Pictures will be pre-pay only. Students purchasing a package will be the only ones to get their picture taken. Information will be sent home with students in March.
ARTWORK AT PUBLIC LIBRARY: March is Student Art Month at the Bluffton Public Library. Fifteen works of art from the elementary were chosen to be displayed.
The following student have art selected:
• 2nd grade: Henry Jordan, Ellie Bogart, Eva McBrien and Raul Voltani Neto.
• 3rd grade: Keith Burkholder, Ellie Hartzler, Avery Ulrey, Alayna Mueller, Elizabeth Suter and Mya McDougle.
• 4th grade: Caleb Davis, Kara Snyder, Alexis Wheeler, Cora Koontz and Noah Bricker.
BOOK FAIR WEEK OF APRIL 24: The elementary spring Book Fair is April 24–28. The Book Fair will be open daily from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday evening (6-8 p.m.) is family night.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION: It’s time to think about Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year. Any child who will be five years old by Aug. 1, 2017, is eligible to enroll. Please contact the elementary office before March 31 to set up a screening time and pick up a kindergarten packet.
